Gilbert Lee Taylor 10/13/35 ~ 06/27/007 Gilbert Lee Taylor, husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on June 27, 2007, doing one of the things he loved most: fishing. Born October 13, 1935 in Plain City, UT to Gilbert D. and Nelda Lee Taylor. Gilbert served an LDS Mission in Australia, then married Marilyn Fisher on June 27, 1958. He also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for W.R. White Pipe Company for 42 years. He will be missed by his wife Marilyn, his five daughters; Angie, Teresa (Stephen) Kissell, Laurie, Cindy Patey and Micki, his 10 grandchildren, friends and extended family. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Gilbert was an avid sportsman and athlete, who loved the outdoors, and was a very talented craftsman who enjoyed a full active life. A viewing will be held Sunday, July 1, 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial, 6500 South Redwood Road, and also on Monday, July 2; 8:45-9:45 a.m. at the Taylorsville 9th Ward, 2030 West Chateau (5225 South) with funeral service following at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at Redwood Memorial.
