A man has come forward to speak to Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputies following a hit and run accident involving a bicyclist in Parley's Canyon.
The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday the man has not been arrested, but has spoken with detectives. The 1996 Chevrolet Lumina that is believed to have hit the bicyclist is now being examined, deputies said.
On Saturday, Dallon Loertscher, 23, was riding his bike in the Affleck Park campground when he was struck head-on by a speeding car. The driver fled the campground, leaving Loertscher seriously injured in an embankment off the side of the road.
Loertscher was last reported to be hospitalized in serious condition.
