Carla Jean Glasker Benson 1963 ~ 2007 Our dearest mother, sister, and friend was called home to be with the Lord July 5, 2007. Carla Jean Glasker Benson was born August 18, 1963 to Leora Glasker and Julius Gresham in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Carla married the love of her life, Donald Benson, November 13, 2004. She raised two beautiful young women of God, Carlie Marr, who attends Waterford School on a scholarship, and Shacree Marr, who is an incredible athlete and writer. Carla graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Public Communications and was a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. She was employed by Xerox Corp., and made Presidents Club on several occasions, most recently in 2007. Our "sista" excelled at all she undertook. She was an awesome woman of God and minister at Living Waters Christian Fellowship where she served the Lord with boldness and tenacity. She lived a life of service to others and she will be greatly missed by those who knew her and loved her. Carla is survived by her husband, Don; children, Carlie and Shacree Marr; brothers, Julius Gresham, Curtis Gresham (Brandie), Stephen Glasker (Melissa), James Glasker III (Bianca), Troy Hayden, Julian Hayden; sister, Tracy Rollin (Fred); father, James Glasker II; and countless nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by mother, Leora Glasker; and father, Julius Gresham. Viewing will be held Wednesday, July 11th from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday from 10-11 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, where the Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, July 12th at 11 a.m. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
