Mirl P. Holley

Our loving husband, father, and grandfather who was loved by all Mirl P. Holley, age 78, passed away peacefully August 7, 2007 at his home in Price.He was born March 10, 1929 in Fillmore to Mirl and Jessie Milgate Holley. He attended Fillmore High School and was a member of the US Army from 1946 to 1950 at which time he was part of the Occupational Forces in Germany. Married Emma Beach on November 11, 1950 in Ely, NV. Mirl was a member of the Carbon County Sheriffs Posse, Operating Engineers Local #3, and the American Quarter Horse and Dun Association. He was retired from the Operating Engineers and Beaver Creek Coal Company. He loved bowling, fishing, hunting and playing with his horses. Mirl will be greatly missed by his family and a community of friends.
Survived by his wife, Emma, Price; sons and daughters, Terry (Cheryl), Smithfield; Cliff (Sharon), Rock Springs, WY; Sandy (Rick), Tuscaloosa, AL; Steve (Barbara), Sandy; Frank, Price; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by mother Jessie; brothers, Royal and Jay; brother-in-law Ted.
