Utah Action for Healthy Kids is poised to fight obesity in San Juan schools under a $22,000 grant from the Kellogg's Corporate Citizenship Fund.
"School wellness is just one of many priorities schools work to address. It's a real struggle," Julie Metos, chairwoman of the Utah Action for Healthy Kids Team, said in a prepared statement. "But, with our help, the crucial job of making healthy foods and daily physical activity available to every child will move forward."

The team is the local affiliate of Action for Healthy Kids, a national nonprofit group working to address childhood obesity by making changes in schools.
