Ten graduate students studying fields not offered in Utah schools have received four-year scholarships to pay the cost of out-of-state tuition in other states.

Seven of the students are participating in the Western Interstate Commission of Higher Education Professional Student Exchange Program, the others have been awarded At Large Veterinary Medicine Education Program Scholarships.

Recipients include Haverley Coy, Tyler Sorensen, Alexander Bennett, Shawn Bybee and Anne Howlett, all studying veterinary medicine at Colorado State University; Sheldon Olsen, studying optometry at Pacific University; John Cote, podiatry, Samuel Merritt College; Seth Caron, veterinary medicine, Washington State University; Sam Nielsen, veterinary medicine, Mississippi State University; and Kenneth Lundquist, veterinary medicine, Purdue University.
