OREM — Several lane closures will take place on 800 North in Orem, I-15, U.S. 189 and U.S. 6 throughout the month of August.

I-15 will be restricted to one lane in each direction at the bridge crossing at Utah Avenue in Payson and the Santaquin Main Street interchange today and Wednesday for bridge work, according to the Utah Department of Transportation.

The closures will be in effect between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The lane closures are expected to cause moderate traffic delays.

U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon will be restricted to one lane in each direction from Canyon Glen Park to a mile east of Bridal Veil Falls through Aug. 31. The lane closures will be in effect 24 hours a day to allow crews to repair the concrete in that area. Heavy traffic delays in the area can be expected during commute hours.

The intersection of 600 East and 800 North in Orem will be closed for storm-drain installation until Thursday. Motorists can follow 800 East to 600 North to access the area.

U.S. 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon will be restricted to one lane from the turnoff at Covered Bridge, approximately 3 miles east of the mouth of Spanish Fork Canyon, to the road to Diamond Fork Canyon from today through Friday. The lane restriction will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. to allow crews to pave the road.

Three miles of U.S. 6 will be restricted to one lane from Covered Bridge to Powerhouse Road in Spanish Fork from Aug. 27 through Aug. 30. The restrictions will be in place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. while the road is being paved. The restrictions could cause heavy traffic delays.
