STEVENSON SHOOTING: A 31-year-old man was shot during an altercation outside the home of Washington Wizards' guard DeShawn Stevenson, authorities said Monday.
Stevenson, 26, was asleep at his central Florida home when shots were fired about 4 a.m. Monday. He was not injured, according to a sheriff's report. "We are aware of the incident. We have spoken with DeShawn and he is fine and was not harmed," Washington Wizards president Ernie Grunfeld said.

MORE RAIN: The second straight day of rain washed out another effort by NASCAR on Monday to run the 3M Performance 400 Nextel Cup race at Michigan International Speedway.
The race, which was originally scheduled to be run on Sunday, was rescheduled for 8 a.m. today.
