Elsa Christensen Hatch
"Grams"
Elsa Myrtle Christensen Hatch, age 98, returned to her Heavenly home on August 20, 2007 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was born Sep 15, 1908 in Moroni, Utah to James Andreas and Maren Hansine Peterson Christensen. She married Orlan Earl Hatch, Sept. 7, 1929 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Orlan died April 27, 1980.
Elsa was an extra ordinary seamstress and everyone in the family benefited from her talent. Her kindness and fun personality drew people to her, and she never tired from making new friends. People found her determination and capacity to endure and overcome many trials truly inspiring. More than once, she proved doctors' predictions wrong by walking again after a serious illness.
Survived by four children, Roy Angell (Bonnie) Hatch; Ora (Clyde) Crane; Gayle (Joseph) Luciano; Mary Kaye (Stanley) Smith; 15 grandchildren; 40 great-grand
children; 13 great-great-grand
children.
Preceded in death by her husband; a great grand daughter; three brothers and two sisters.
The family members wish to recognize the special care provided by Mary Kaye, Elsa's youngest daughter. Her constant devotion to her mother's care, especially in the last six months, makes her a hero in their eyes. They would also like to thank First Choice Hospice, especially Dolly, for providing loving care.
