Carrie Emily Peterson

Our Beautiful and Loving Mother is now somewhere over the rainbow and in the arms of loved ones, following a long and painful illness. Born at home on May 13, 1940 in Salt Lake City where she spent her entire life loving and being loved by all. She attended West High School and later graduated from Salt Lake Community High. For many years she faithfully served the staff and employees of the Hotel Utah and also cherished her tenure with Sunshine Laundry Service. Over the course of her life, she endured and overcame many hardships, yet maintained a kind nurturing heart and spirit.
Preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Irma Peterson, Brothers Lee Peterson Sr., Frank Schneider and Frank Peterson. She is survived by her son Steven KL Trower - Lewiston, ID her Daughter Irma "Kathy" Packard (David) West Valley City; brothers Charles (Beverly), Kenneth and George Johnson, sister Charlene Neeshan (Sheldon) eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held at 12 noon on Sat., August 25th at Deseret Memorial Mortuary 36 E. 700 S. in Salt Lake City, friends and family my call 6-8 p.m. on Friday and again at 11-11:45 a.m. on Saturday morning. Interment - Salt Lake City Cemetery "Love is stronger than death even though it can't stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can't separate people from love. It can't take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death."
