I agree with the Deseret Morning News headline "Pro-voucher poll called 'despicable."' (Aug. 18).

Prior to the primary elections in June 2006, I was a target of Parents for Choice. Push polls were used both in a telephone survey and a door-to-door effort. I was told by poll respondents that the push poll indicated I supported abortion and other false claims.

Voters beware. The debate about school vouchers should be about school vouchers. Don't be "pushed" into side issues that are not relevant and are not true. Look at the merits of the original voucher bill and the second bill that was necessary to correct only some of the flaws of the first bill.
