Duane Wallace Crimin
1929 ~ 2007
OGDEN - Duane Wallace Crimin, 78, slipped quietly into the presence of our Father in Heaven, August 19, 2007. His joy was centered in family, church, friends, and community service and putting his values and beliefs into action.
He was born July 12, 1929 to James and Hannah Eccles Crimin in Yakima, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington and served an LDS Mission in Southern California.
On July 1, 1954, Duane married his eternal sweetheart, Gloria Hall, in the Logan Temple. A dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Duane served in stake and ward leadership, as a Salt Lake Temple Square Host and as a Family History Specialist. Duane and Gloria served in the Australia Perth Mission, the Salt Lake Temple Square Mission, and service missions in the Ogden Inner City and the Canyon View Stake.
Duane was a member of SUP, the National Retail Financial Executives (Past President), and other community groups. Duane was a world traveler, but most enjoyed his yearly family reunion at Lake Powell. His family was the cornerstone of his joy. Even with his busy schedule, Duane made time for the special events in the lives of his family.
Duane is survived by his wife, Gloria; his brother, Jack; his children, Pamela (Dwayne) Watson of Riverton, David (Rochelle) Crimin of Richfield, Maureen (Tim) Einfeldt of Cedar City, Julie (Chris) Davies of Las Vegas, Bryan (Tracy) Crimin of Kaysville, and Derek (Rochelle) Crimin of Clinton. He is also survived by 35 grandchildren (and 11 spouses), and 31 great-grand
children (with more on the way), who love, honor, and adore him. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Don and John "Bud", and granddaughter, Megan.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden and 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the LDS Chapel on 9th St. and Harrison. Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. Internment will be at the Wellsville, Utah Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
