June Stevens Rowley

June Stevens Rowley passed peacefully in her sleep August 22, 2007.June was born June 22, 1917 in Mountain Home, Utah to Leslie Lawrence Stevens and Ella Mae Rasmussen, and had a happy upbringing. She was educated in Mountain Home and Park City, Utah. She married Edwin Rowley on January 31, 1934 in Mountain Home, Utah; solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple, June 22, 1988. Edwin preceded her in death, March 9, 1994.
June was a skilled homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, upholstery, embroidering, and all kinds of crafts. She was an active member of the LDS Church and an example to everyone. She was challenged with many health issues which she endured with dignity. June was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her immediate family, LaRue (David) Roberts, Fred (Pat) Rowley, Julia (Brian) Yates, Vickie (Jack) Cowan; daughter-in-law, Carol Rowley; sister, Lillian Whetton; sisters-in-law, Ramona Stevens, Delsa Yergensen; 19 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband; son, Leslie; grandson, Von Rowley and siblings, Lawrence, Farrell, Earl, Verda, and Norma.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25th, 10 a.m. at the Crescent Park Stake Center, 11350 S. 1000 E. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services. Interment, Stevens Cemetery, Oakley, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your favorite charity.
