The City Library introduces a new program series for individuals and families alike: How To on Tuesdays at The City Library. The library will present events that utilize the community's expertise in teach you "how to" do anything and everything. Each week you can learn the basics of a wide variety of activities from folk dancing to gardening, knitting to writing haiku. Each event will have suggestion forms for you to contribute ideas on programs you would like to see us offer in the future.
Upcoming workshops include the following: Aug. 28 — how to star gaze; Sept. 4 — how to pick the right hairstyle for you; Sept. 11 — how to start a book club; Sept. 18 — how to winterize your garden; and Sept. 25 — how to crochet your own beanies.
