SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga Springs police officers are asking for help locating a man they say may be involved in an attempted murder.
Just before 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Saratoga Springs officers responded to the Harvest Hills subdivision for what was reported as an industrial accident involving a nail gun, according to Cpl. Aaron D. Rosen, public information officer for Saratoga Springs.
However, with more interviews, officers discovered it wasn't an accident but a fight in which one worker allegedly shot the other man with a nail gun.
The injured man, in critical condition, was taken via medical helicopter to a nearby hospital, Rosen said.
The two co-workers had been fighting earlier that day on and off the job site, but witnesses didn't know what the argument was about, Rosen said.
Police say the man is a 26-year-old Hispanic man who is possibly in the Kearns area or en route to Denver to visit family.
He drove a silver, 1987 Mitsubishi Might-Max pickup truck from the scene with Utah license plate 317PGC.
Anyone with any further information is asked to call the Saratoga Springs Police Department at 801-851-4100.
