OREM — Utah Valley State College is hosting a benefit concert for families and rescuers affected by the Crandall Canyon Mine disaster tonight from 7 to 9.

The band "Hourglass" will play in the Ragan Theater.

Hourglass is a progressive rock group with vocals, drums, keyboard and guitar.

"This is a great community event and wonderful for families," said Jerry Stenquist, UVSC Service Council president. "This event is for a good cause. We hope everyone will come out and enjoy some music and help support Utah's mine disaster rescuers and families."
