PROVO — Two rollover accidents on I-15 in Provo slowed traffic for several hours Friday.
The first accident happened northbound near the Center Street exit just after noon when a man in his late 20s was cut off by another driver, said Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Preston Raban.
His sport-utility vehicle got pushed into the wall, hit the wall, then rolled.
The man who cut him off stopped, looked at the rollover, then sped off, Raban said.
When troopers arrived, the man was walking around and wasn't injured.
However, traffic was shut down to one lane for at least 45 minutes to clear the car off the road.
Less than 30 minutes later and one mile south of the first accident, a rear tire on a Honda Passport blew out, causing the car to roll.
The driver, a man in his 30s, and the man's elderly father were taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center with minor injuries but were treated and released, Raban said.
Traffic was shut down to one lane for nearly two hours to clear the mess.
