A fellow named Bob Dowell passed away at home on Sunday, August 19, 2007, at age 82, of respiratory failure and causes incident to age.Bob and his twin brother Richard A. "Dick" were born February 14, 1925 to Joseph Judson and Lyle
Davis Dowell in Salt Lake City, Utah. Attended Uintah Elementary, Roosevelt Jr., East High and the University of Utah. Served in the US Army in World War II.
Bob believed in the institution of marriage and was married to
Audrey Clissold, Betty Jean Christensen, Leigh Christensen and Myrtle Sadler.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Myrtle; daughter Christine (HI), sons Thomas R. (Cindy), Salt Lake City; Spencer J. (Michelle), CA; Tracy "Tad" (Cheryl), Salt Lake City; and daughter Rachelle, NYC; along with Scott Welling, Midway, UT; and six grandchildren. Also survived by Myrtle's daughters, Kathleen (Kevin) Opperman, Bountiful; and Sally Taylor, West Valley City; and their four children. Others include his brother R. Judson Dowell (Marcia), Scottsdale, AZ; sister
Kathryn (Binny) Dowell King and sister-in-law Susan Felt Dowell, both Salt Lake City; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Preceded in death by parents and twin brother, Dick.
Bob will be remembered for his sincere interest in others and his sense of humor.

Bob was cremated, and per his wishes there will be no funeral. Per the rest of us, there will be a memorial service (casual) on Monday, Aug. 27, at noon at Wasatch Memorial Gardens, 3401 Highland Drive, with visitation one hour prior to service.
