Helene P Kostopulos
Will Be Missed
Helene, the daughter of the late Steve and Maria Pappas, departed this life on August 22, 2007.She was born in Salt Lake City, attended local schools and graduated from West High School. Following graduation, she cashiered at the Broadway Theater. There she met and married the late owner, Dan S Kostopulos. She assisted her husband in his many philanthropic endeavors and supported his dream to establish a camp for people with disabilities. Helene was a lifetime board member of what is now known as the Kostopulos Dream Foundation.
Helene was also in partnership of a modeling school, modeled locally and participated in other modeling contracts. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church.
Helene was predeceased by a brother, John S. Pappas; a sister, Zeffie Pappas; a nephew, John Steven Pappas. Helene is survived by a sister, Anna S Pappas; sister-in-law, Catherine Pappas; niece, Mary Ann Siepert; nephew, George D Pappas; and two great nephews, Nick and Greg Siepert.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Cathedral 279 South 300 West. Friends may call Monday evening, August 27 from 6-8 p.m. Prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Deseret Mortuary 36 East 700 South. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 279 South 300 West, Salt Lake City, Utah 84101; or to Camp Kostopulos, 2500 Emigration Canyon, Salt Lake City, Utah 84108.
