Lynn Thomas Woodard

1950 ~ 2007

Lynn Thomas Woodard, 56, passed from this world on Wednesday, August 22, 2007. She was in her home in Baker City and at peace with family close.

Lynn Thomas Woodard was born December 28, 1950 in Coluse, California. Lynn moved to Baker City only last fall. She loved Baker City and the many wonderful people she met during the short time God allowed her. Lynn was a real person. She was a great friend; both fierce, loving and loyal. She loved to travel; Canada by train, cross the USA by car, Oregon Coast by bicycle, Europe several times via air. Lynn loved to bicycle and cycled many places. In Heaven, she believed there is always a tail wind. Lynn worked for the US Postal Service and retired.

She is remembered by her husband, son, daughter, sister, mother, extended family, church and countless friends as a truly genuine person who was a great wife, mother, adventurer, traveler, bicyclist, artist, gardener, reader and cat lover.

The family would thank Dr. Petterson for his excellent care and Heart'n Home Hospice for all their efforts to make this much easier. Thanks to Father Julian for his care of Lynn's spiritual needs and his support of the family.

Her Funeral Mass will be on September 8, 2007 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral in Baker City, Oregon at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Best Friends of Baker City in care of Gray's West & Company Pioneer Chapel, 1500 Dewey Ave., Baker City, OR 97814.
