Rachel Hendricksen

1984 ~ 2007

Rachel Margie Berniece Hendricksen received an unexpected mission call home at 7:39 a.m. Sunday morning, August 26, 2007. Born December 21, 1984, the sixth of seven children this bright, enthusiastic redheaded bombshell entered the Hendricksen household and things were never quite the same. Rachel attended schools in Wasatch County, loving life, learning much and teaching more, and graduated from Wasatch High School in May 2003. She was actively involved in theater, music, and lending a listening ear and a caring heart to all she loyally called "friend." She was fiercely devoted to her family and her Savior Jesus Christ, and served as a compassionate example of joy and faith as she fulfilled a variety of callings related to her precious membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had great hands, both physically and spiritually, and often helped others with pain and discomfort by utilizing her training as a massage therapist. Rachel loved her job as a "nanny" and a full-time aide at Heber Valley Elementary, looking forward to the challenges she faced each day as she strove to make a difference in the life of a child. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her parents David and Mayleen Hendricksen of Charleston, Utah; her siblings: Paul and Angie Hendricksen of Gaithersburg, Maryland; Samuel and Amy Hendricksen of Midway, Ut; Andrew and Melanie Hendricksen of Saint Marys, Georgia; Elizabeth of Gaithersburg, Maryland; Rebekah of Charleston, Ut; and David Reed of Cedar City, Ut; nieces and nephews: Daniel, Millie, Steven, Meghan, Jonathan, and Benjamin; and by her many "adopted" family members and friends.
