Anna Ruth Voeller Trimble
1910 ~ 2007
Anna Ruth Trimble, age 96, passed away suddenly August 25, 2007, lovingly surrounded by her many grandchildren.
Ruth was born October 17, 1910, in Humboldt, Nebraska to Melissa and John Voeller. Her mother passed away when Ruth was only 10 and she carried much responsibility for her younger brothers. Ruth later married Harland Trimble on June 11, 1930 in Humboldt. Together they raised three sons, and a daughter who passed away at the age of three. Ruth and Harland were active in the First Christian Church in Humboldt where she served in the women's auxiliary organization.
In 1954, Ruth and Harland moved to Moab, Utah. Ruth worked as a mobile home court manager, a sales associate in several clothing stores, and the museum in Moab. Her beloved Harland passed away in 1971, leaving Ruth a widow for 36 years. She continued to work well into her 80's, never held a driver's license, and walked everywhere she went. This may have been the secret to her long, active life.
Ruth was small in stature but large in influence. She lived a simple life of service and everyone in Moab knew and loved her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Donald (Joyce), KS; Ronald (Reta), Provo; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grand-children, and a brother John Voeller (Kaye), TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband
Harland, daughter Ruth Ann, son Harland Dee, and two brothers.
Funeral Services will be held Wed. August 29, at 11 a.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 85 East 300 South, Provo. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. prior to the service. A viewing will also be held on Saturday, Sept. 1 at the Wherry Brothers Mortuary, 207 North Nemaha Street, Humboldt, Nebraska from 10-10:45 a.m. Followed by a graveside service at 11 a.m. in the Humboldt City Cemetery.
