Salt Lake Bees outfielder Terry Evans, who was also a PCL All-Star this season, always makes time for books. Even with his busy schedule on the road and back-to-back games, he always manages to squeeze some reading time in.

"There is actually all kinds of time to read. I read on the plane, the bus, before bed and by the pool at the hotel," Evans said.

As a child, he said, Dr. Seuss books were among his top picks. But now he enjoys Christian literature and is currently tackling "Mere Christianity" by C.S. Lewis.

"I like other people's opinions and ideas about different aspects of Christianity," Evans said.

So it's no surprise his favorite book is the Bible.

"It's a standard (that) I live by," he said.

But if there are any books Evans does not get into, regardless of the worldwide hullabaloo and cultlike following, it would be the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling.

"I just don't see what the craze is all about," Evans said.
