Your lead article on Aug. 25 details the letter written by Bob Murray to Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. Part of one paragraph reads, "Murray sent the letter to Huntsman and Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining director John Baza on Wednesday, marking it 'personal and confidential.'" The letter was not meant for our eyes — it was intended to be a confidential communication. How very, very disappointing that the paper doesn't seem to have the morality to respect that indication of intended audience. The great underlying element of the deterioration of our society and sense of community is the constantly decreasing level of respect for others. The Deseret Morning News, particularly, ought to be leading out in a significantly assertive and unmistakable manner when it comes to promoting that respect.

I am not canceling my subscription. There is too much that is good in the paper.
