Students, faculty and staff members wait outside Pleasant Grove High School after they were evacuated Tuesday morning because of a gas-line break.
Police and fire crews block off the road in front of the school while workers repair the line.
"Construction crews on the east side of the school toward the seminary broke a gas main," Alpine School District spokeswoman Jerrilyn Mortensen said. "The school was evacuated. Questar was called. The students were gathered outside on the football field ... before the buildings were determined to be risk-free."
The construction crews were building a classroom wing that is scheduled to be finished late next year.
