What is up with Americans and their political parties? What has happened to civility? Can't we have discussion without name calling or degrading one another? This country is divided by the rhetoric used by the national political parties. They teach to demonize others for thinking differently. Where does it stop?

Let me give both parties a clue. Most Americans (80-90 percent, in my opinion) are neither truly Republican nor truly Democrat, they are somewhere in the middle. They believe in God, family, working hard and doing the best they can. They will help other people at no recompense. They will defend this country with their lives if need be.

In my opinion, the national parties have lost touch with mainstream America. We need to get back to the time where what's best for the party is overshadowed by what is best for the American people.
