Although James Means (Readers' Forum, Aug. 8) wants to stereotype all Utahns as living in the 1800s, I am glad that not all Louisianans share his view. Many in fact are living "morally, socially and spiritually" in the United States by actively working to improve education and reduce poverty instead of asserting their moral superiority over other parts of the country. These are the people who deserve our support.
