"Teacher"
Virginia Harris McDonald of Salt Lake passed away Sept. 4, 2007.She was born March 11, 1916 in Logan, Utah to Wilford H. and Connie Orgill Harris. She married Oliver "Bud" McDonald June 1, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; he died June 15, 1994.
Virginia's happiness was her relatives, close friends, and her students. She graduated from Utah State University where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She started creative dance in the Jordan School District and taught publicly and privately for over 40 years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings including on the MIA General Board, and she truly enjoyed her last calling as "Greeter". She was also an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Survived by her special cousins, Gordon (LaRae) Orgill, Dick (Jean) Orgill, and Shirley (Clyde) Christensen; other family, Jeniel Apostol, Charles Black, Shellie Pearson, and Tommy Peel; other cousins, friends, and many students. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant sister, Martha.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Cottonwood Creek Ward, 1250 E. 4800 So., where friends and family may call both Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. Interment: Draper City Cemetery. Online condolences: www.peelfuneralhome.com
