In the early years of their marriage, she and Gordon lived in Brooklyn, New York and New Jersey while Gordon completed his Masters Degree in retailing at NYU and beginning his career in New York City. Over time, Marilyn became the mother of seven children as they followed Gordon's career from New York, to San Antonio, Rochester, Fort Worth and back to Austin. Upon settling in Austin, Texas, Marilyn became the office manager in the office of the Attorney General for the State of Texas. Wherever she has lived, she has been known for her quick wit, humor, optimistic outlook and kind heart. She loved life, her family and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Well done mother. We love you.

She is survived by her seven children: Stephen Wright, San Francisco, CA; Susan (Jim) Hastings, Dallas, TX; Douglas (Suzette) Wright, San Antonio, TX; Debbie (Guy) Cox, West Haven, UT; Pamela (Craig) Lundell, Houston, TX; Paul (Vicki) Wright, Dallas, TX; Timothy (Teresa) Wright, Bountiful, UT; 26 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; sisters, Eloise (Bill) Anderson, American Fork, UT; and Rosalie (Harold) Jacklin, Pleasant Grove; brother, David (Maryl) Richards, American Fork, UT.

The family wishes to send a special thanks to the staff of Life Path Hospice & Family Care and the staff of Orchard Cover for their diligent and caring service to Marilyn.
