AMERICAN FORK — Police have a good surveillance photo of a man who robbed a bank in American Fork Tuesday night, and they're asking the public to help identify him.
Around 7:45 p.m., the man walked into a Smith's Food and Drug on 240 W. State Road and went to the Zions Bank located inside, said American Fork Police Sgt. Shauna Greening.
The man, in his mid-40s with short, dark hair, told the teller that he had a gun and demanded money.
The teller gave him money and he left, but not before the surveillance cameras captured more than half a dozen color photos of the man.
Some show the man with both hands full of cash, and all clearly show the man's black jacket with unique square stitching on both sides of the zipper.
The white male with what the teller described as weathered skin had a moustache that covered his upper lip and went down to the bottom of both sides of his chin, Greening said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the American Fork Police Department at 801-763-3020.
