FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Ben Woodside scored 19 of his game-high 26 points in the first half to lead North Dakota State to a 75-54 Summit League basketball victory over Southern Utah.

Woodside had four 3-pointers and shot 8-for-17 from the field for the Bison (9-9, 3-4), who snapped a three-game losing streak. NDSU shot 61 percent in the first half to take a 37-25 lead at the break.

Woodside made four of eight 3-pointers, helping the Bison go 8-for-20 from 3-point range. Mike Nelson, the only other NDSU player in double figures with 16 points, had three 3-pointers.

NDSU took a 19-4 lead on a Woodside layup with 9:26 left in the first half. NDSU's largest lead was 23 points midway through the second half.

Southern Utah (4-13, 2-4) led just once in the game, 3-2 with 16:31 to play in the first half. Geoff Payne led the Thunderbirds, who shot just 35 percent, in scoring with 14 points. He was the only Southern Utah player in double figures.
