It is interesting to see this latest ethics "scandal" going on in Utah politics. It is not acceptable to pay someone $50,000 for their vote, yet it is acceptable to tell them that there is a group out there willing to put $50,000 into campaign coffers if you vote the way they want. Our lawmakers are so far out of touch with their constituents they actually believe that the ones who donate are more important than the average citizen. Swallowing camels appears to be their favorite pastime. What happened to the idea of representation? Vouchers, the new RSL stadium and now this. It is time to start over. What we have is completely broken. Who we have are failures.
