Colin R. Chapman has lectured on British and Irish genealogy throughout
the world. Now, family history enthusiasts in Utah will have an opportunity to
hear him speak.Chapman, a life vice president of the Federation of
(British) Family History Societies, president of the Bristol & Avon Family
History Society and president of the Gloucestershire Family History Society,
will give two lectures at the Family History Library. He will speak Tuesday at
12:30 p.m. on "Was Your Ancestor Really Married? Marriage Laws, Rites, Records
and Customs", and again Wednesday at 1 p.m. on "Genealogy in Early British
Censuses, 1086 to 1841." Seating is limited.The Family History Library
in Salt Lake City will offer classes on indexing later this month. The "How to
Do Indexing" course will be taught Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. in the computer lab. On
Oct. 25, the same class will be taught from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by
"Arbitrating Indexing Batches" at 12:30 p.m. and "Indexing Administration" at
