I am sad to see ugly prejudices against Mormon and black American candidates for president of the United States. Members of the Mormon Church have faced prejudice since the beginning of the church, and it is sad to see it still exists. Black Americans have suffered much, much worse prejudice for a much longer period of American history.

For me it is particularly sad to see members of the Mormon Church exhibiting prejudice toward black Americans running for high office. There is always another reason given, but peel off a layer and often there the prejudice is.
