PLEASANT GROVE — Maybe he was working on his slice.

Police say a 25-year-old man attacked his brother and another man with a golf club Tuesday night following a disagreement.

According to police report, the brothers started arguing after they had a few drinks. The verbal sparring quickly turned physical, and one of them grabbed a golf club.

Pleasant Grove police said the man started swinging the club and struck his brother and another man, who was at the location, in the face.

The two victims managed to disarm the man, punching him several times in the process. Police had to take the man to the hospital to get stitches for his lower lip before escorting him to Utah County Jail. EMTs treated the man who had been struck in the face.

Officers booked the man Tuesday night for investigation of aggravated assault, public intoxication and disorderly conduct — a second-degree felony and two class C misdemeanors.
