SPRINGFIELD, Colo. (AP) — Three people are dead after a fire that destroyed a restaurant and a home in the small Colorado town of Springfield.
Authorities say the fire started in the wee hours of Friday in a building that included the Home Town Burrito restaurant and a home. The restaurant was closed at the time.
Baca County Coroner Robert Morrow says three people died. Nearby homes were evacuated, but residents have been allowed to return.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Springfield is about 200 miles southeast of Denver.
