Former University of Utah football player Marquis Wilson has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor alcohol-related reckless driving in connection to a 2007 case.

Wilson, 22, was pulled over March 10, 2007, in downtown Salt Lake City and cited for making an illegal turn. Police reports say officers gave Wilson a sobriety test and his blood alcohol content was .11 percent, .03 above the legal limit.

As part of a plea deal accepted in 3rd District Court on Wednesday, Wilson has been sentenced to 12 months of probation and a $500 fine.

Wilson initially was charged with misdemeanor counts of drunken driving and possession of alcohol by a minor. The wide receiver was suspended from the team after the incident.

Utah coach Kyle Whittingham has said Wilson is committed to working his way back into the lineup.
