Game of the week
Broncos at Jets, 2:15 p.m.
It's obvious that the Jets have the better team and will advance deeper in the playoffs. But the Broncos will be looking to bounce back from last week's embarrassing loss to the Raiders and have a good showing against the red-hot Jets. Easier said than done, especially with the way the Broncos' defense has been playing.
Team on the rise
Giants
The world champs haven't had anything close to a Super Bowl hangover. They've turned back challenge after challenge, and handled the Cardinals on the road last week. They've won six straight games and return to the top spot this week in the prestigious Deseret News NFL Top 10. Winning the NFC East is just a formality now.
Team on the decline
Cardinals
Their last two games have proven the obvious: they are lucky to be playing in the weak NFC West. The Cardinals have looked incapable of competing with elite teams such as the Giants, and been simply inept in road losses to the Jets and Eagles.
