Weber State University didn't wait until the end of its breakthrough season to reward coach Ron McBride for his efforts.

McBride signed a new four-year contract to remain as the Wildcats' head coach this morning. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but McBride confirmed he is getting a raise from his current $113,840 annual salary.

"I'm really happy because this is where I want to be and this is what I want to do," McBride said. "I like this team, and I like where we're at. It took a little while to work out the details, but it's a very fair contract."

McBride is in the final year of the original four-year contract he signed with Weber State. He has compiled a 23-20 overall record with the Wildcats. Weber State is currently experiencing its best season in years, as it leads the Big Sky with a 6-0 record, and is 8-2 overall.
