I grew up in a time when people supported the president in office. They didn't try to make it hard for him. Patriotism was alive. When Pearl Harbor was bombed, everyone was ready to help.
Today, the president is expected to never fight at all. He's expected to never spend any money or lose any lives. But that was the price of freedom, and we are letting it slip through our fingers by bellyaching about wanting government to do everything for us.
We don't need change, we need to do more to protect what we already have. We need to do all we can to save it.
