WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Senior Utah outside hitter Kathryn Haynie earned CoSIDA Academic All-District VIII First-Team honors, the organization announced Thursday.
CROSS COUNTRY: The Utes earned a fifth-place ranking in the NCAA Mountain Region this week after taking third-place at the Mountain West Conference Championships on Nov. 1 in San Diego, Calif.
This mark ties the highest raking the Utes have reached in the school's history, and the best team ranking the cross country team has seen under head coach Kyle Kepler since he took the position in 2005.
