A Salt Lake man stabbed another man 10 times with a screwdriver on Halloween and then tried to attack another man, court charges state.
The man, 35, was having an argument with two men at 3575 Market St. on Friday. He pulled out a concealed screwdriver and stabbed one of the men 10 times, causing his lung to collapse. The other man tried to intervene and the man attacked and cut him as well, according to court charges.
The man is charged in 3rd District Court with attempted murder and aggravated assault — a first and second-degree felony. Bail has been set at $50,000.
