WEST VALLEY CITY — Police here were looking for a man who robbed a pharmacy Thursday.

A little after 10 a.m., a man wearing a black wool cap, prescription glasses and a black leather jacket with brown sleeves walked into a Walgreens near 5600 West and 4400 South. The man handed a pharmacy employee a note demanding pills and claiming he had a gun, said West Valley Police Capt. Tom McLachlan. The man walked out with an undisclosed number of pills.

The man was described as being in his early to mid 40s. He was about 5-foot-4, 140 pounds, had a mustache and goatee and wore a red shirt under his jacket, McLachlan said.

Anyone with information on the robbery can call police at 840-4000.
