PROVO — The Brigham Young University student UNICEF club hopes to raise $12,000 Saturday at a benefit concert and dance party for underprivileged children.

Performers include Imagine Dragons, Sharks Speed and Kid You Nauts. All the money will go to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, which has challenged college students to raise awareness and money for children around the world who die from preventable diseases.

UNICEF's goal is to reduce the number of daily casualties from 25,000 to zero.

All proceeds will go to UNICEF to provide clean water, basic medical care and mosquito netting for children's beds. The BYU club has set a goal of selling 1,000 tickets at $6 apiece. The George Harrison Fund for UNICEF will match the proceeds dollar for dollar.

Tickets may be purchased at the Wilkinson Student Center Information Desk. The concert begins at 7 p.m. followed by the dance at 9 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom.
