Denyse V. Bachman

1933 ~ 2008

Denyse Bachman passed away on February 16, 2008.

She was born on December 6, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hyrum Mervin Wallace and Virginia Wallace. She married Tom Pratt. He died a short time later. She then married Elwood "Ted" Bachman on Nov. 15, 1953 in Elko, Nevada.

Denyse worked in the real estate profession for many years. She was an active member at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral. She was a President of the Bonneville Bicycle Touring Club and enjoyed long distance bicycle touring. Denyse was also involved in bringing the Episcopal expression of the "Marriage Encounter" to Utah.

She is survived by her husband, Ted; children, E. Wallace Bachman, Melinda Bachman, Robert M. (Deirdre) Bachman, and Suzanne Bachman; brother, Robert Wallace; nine grandchildren, Christine Bachman, Alana Stedman, Shelby Elison, Brock Elison, Tyler Elison, Andrew Bachman, Richard Bachman, Jared Trujillo, Emily Trujillo; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Stephen R. Bachman.

Services will be Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 12 Noon at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends one-half hour prior to the service. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
