SANDY — A clothing store in Sandy had an estimated $20,000 worth of designer jeans stolen over the weekend.

Sometime between 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Monday, someone removed the window framing outside So Cal Style, 7634 S. Union Park Ave., took out the glass, disabled the alarm system after entering and took 50 to 60 pairs of jeans, said Sandy police Sgt. Victor Quezada. Some of the jeans were worth $400 each, he said.

Although only one man wearing a hoodie and mask is seen in the store surveillance camera, investigators were unsure Tuesday if the suspect acted alone or if there were multiple people involved. Quezada noted to get that many pairs of jeans out of the store, the burglar either had to have help or he spent a lot of time making multiple trips from inside the store to a getaway vehicle.

Detectives expected the burglars would likely try to sell the jeans on-line at greatly reduced prices.
