Wayne, 64, passed away February 18th, 2008, from complications following a heart attack.He was born in Murray July 23, 1943 to Ted and Alice Housel.

Wayne had a strong love for his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed attending their sporting events and school activities. He was known for his willingness to help others, ability to make friends easily, and his quick sense of humor. He enjoyed skiing and playing racquetball and was an avid sports fan. He also loved to travel.

Wayne had an incredible work ethic. He worked many years for Consolidated Freightways and was most recently employed at the Salt Lake City International Airport and part-time at Roadway Freight Lines. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Karen, their children Corey, Darren, (Lisa) Sean, (Mary Ann) Tessa, and Matthew (Marissa), nine grandchildren, and his two sisters Dolores Simonetti and Maureen Merrill. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and a grandson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 22nd, 12 noon, at the Meadows Ward, 5735 So. Fashion Boulevard (300 E.), with a viewing at 11 a.m. Friends may call Thursday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 So. State St. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
