Amy Irvine's latest book, "Trespass: Living at the Edge of the Promised Land," will be released Tuesday. Join Irvine and Terry Tempest Williams at the Salt Lake City Library, 210 E. 400 South, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m., to kick off her book tour.

Irvine's "Trespass" is an illuminating account of an environmentally adverse dimension of Mormonism that remains unknown to many.

Formerly a nationally ranked competitive rock climber, Irvine was the five-year development director at the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance. She is also the author of "Making a Difference: Inspirational Stories of How Outdoor Industry and Individuals are Working to Preserve America's Natural Places." She and her family now tend goats and canines in southwestern Colorado.
