James "Keith" Parker

1925 ~ 2008

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and neighbor, died Feb. 3, 2008 of pneumonia, in Murray, Utah, just short of his 83rd birthday and 60th wedding anniversary. He was a good and honest man. A true gentleman!He was born on March 29, 1925 in Murray, Utah. He served in the Army, in Italy, during World War II. He was sealed to his sweetheart, Reva Thorne, on March 19, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. He lived his entire life on his grandfather's pioneer homestead which he purchased from his grandmother. He was a member of the original Bennion Ward, and passed away as a faithful member of the Brookshire Ward. He retired from Kennecott Copper following 33 years of employment. His family was his life and he showed that by the hours he spent in play with, and service to them. He was an example to us in life and will be an inspiration and guiding light to his posterity.

Preceded in death by parents, Emil and Myrtle Parker; siblings Gilbert Parker, Donna Parker Cook and Marjorie Parker. Survived by his wife, Reva; son, Ralph (Diana), daughters: Marilyn (Rod) King, and Judy (Brad) Sorensen; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Parker Heiden.

Funeral services will be held Thurs. 12 noon at the Brookshire Ward, 1325 W. 5550 S. A viewing will be held Wed. 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and Thurs. at the church, 11-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
