It is with sadness and dismay I pen this letter from South Georgia to the great state of Utah. Those "Christians" who protested during the funeral services for LDS Church leader Gordon B. Hinckley are not Christians. Jesus would never sanction this kind of action. Jesus always sought to gently persuade. He might have ignored this funeral, but he would have never staged a protest.

As an evangelical Christian and pentecostal evangelist, I apologize to the LDS Church and others who were offended by this gratuitous display of hatred. I will pray that my brothers and sisters in Christ will spend more time looking for the log in their own eyes before attempting to remove a splinter in the eye of someone else.
